Renè Magritte

The Son of Man is a self-portrait.  The Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte, realized this artwork in 1964. It is perhaps his most well-known artwork. The painting consists of a man in an overcoat and a bowler hat standing in front of a short wall, beyond which is the sea and a cloudy sky. The man's face is largely obscured by a hovering green apple. However, the man's eyes are visible, peeking over the edge of the apple. Another subtle feature is that the man's left arm appears to bend backwards at the elbow. The son of man could be considered his expression of surrealism

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for return postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • High quality and care applied to all our products.

  • Some of our products come unframed for logistics reasons, others have the frame option. Please ask us for more infos.

  • There are 5 cm from each side of the picture, so it’s easier to stretch the product into a frame without loosing any image.

  • For our prints we only use materials such as: inks, and canvases that respect the regulations for the protection of the environment.

  • In addition to the listed dimensions, it is possible to customize orders with different sizes and different images.

  • All products are shipped in already wrapped PVC tube and paper to keep the product intact.

  • We offer different types of shipping methods, please feel free to send us a message if you want to know more about it.

  • As the lighting effects that have been used, colors of the objects may be a little different from pictures you see.
